Our middle schools offer a wide range of activities and clubs that allow students to explore their interests, build connections, and get involved. From athletics to academic teams, creative arts to leadership opportunities — there’s something for every student to enjoy.
Cheerleading
Tryouts for cheerleading are open to sixth and seventh graders and take place in March. Girls selected will take cheerleading as a class the following year, which fulfills their physical education requirement.

Disc Golf
Come out and join us on the Mission Trail disc golf course. You can bring your own disc or use some of the school's. We meet from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting Sept. 17.

Double Digits Book Club
Can you read at least 10 books in a quarter? Can you read at least 10 books in every quarter? We bet you can!

Any Mission Trail student may join to strengthen their faith and have fun fellowship with other students.

First Lego League
First Lego League meets from 3:30-4:45 p.m. each Friday. This is your chance to build a Lego robot and take it to an end-of-season competition against other middle school students. This opportunity is limited to the first 20 students who sign up. We will start up to two teams this year.

KAY Club
Kansas Assocation of Youth (KAY Club) is a state-sponsored leadership and community service club. If you are enthusiastic about serving others, KAY Club is for you. Our meetings are before school on Wednesdays, one or two times each month. Our first meeting is 7:30 a.m. Sept. 17.

MATHCOUNTS
MATHCOUNTS is a club for any student who enjoys math, to compete with other schools in a "bee-like" contest. MATHCOUNTS will challenge a student's math ability, build problem-solving skills, and foster achievments through four different levels of fun.
We meet at 7 a.m. every Thursday starting Sept. 9.

Pep Club
Mission Trail Pep Club supports athletic teams while promoting school spirit. Pep Club is open to all Mission Trail students. You can participate in many ways: coming to sporting events, helping make posters, cheering with the cheerleaders, helping with mascot duties, and planning spirit days. Pep Club will meet at 7:15 a.m.

Sources of Strength (SOS)
Sources of Strength is a club focusing on the different pillars of our personal strengths. We will meet once a month (before school at 7:45 a.m.) to discuss mental health, friendships, mentors and more! We will end the year with a fun field trip.
This club is open to anyone. Students must sign up by Sept. 5. Enrollment forms are available in the front office, Brigette Hahn's classroom, or by emailing Brigette Hahn.

This activity is centered around the magic and excitement of live theater. We're all about promoting and encouraging student participation through theater and play production.

WEB Leaders
WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) is a middle school transition program that welcomes sixth and seventh graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle school experience. WEB is built on the belief that students want to and can help other students succeed. The WEB middle school transition program trains members of the eighth grade class to be WEB Leaders; as positive role models, WEB Leaders are motivators, leaders and teachers who guide sixth and seventh graders to discover what it takes to be successful in middle school.
